TRIVIA NIGHT
I would like to thank Dr Mark Gregg for running our Trivia Night last Saturday, the night was a huge success and fun was had by all who attended. Thank you also to those members and guests who helped to set up, pack up and help out on the night. Congratulations to the Bold and the Beautiful for taking out first place, to the Green caps who ran second, the Coro Crew 2 in third place and the Nibblies who came in last. We still reckon the Koala was Sam but never mind.
FUNDRAISING CHOCOLATES:
Fresh stock has arrived, including some easter eggs, please drop into the office if you are able to help with the selling of these.
AFL GAME AT THE GABBA
Tickets and the bus have been booked for the AFL trip. So if you registered your intrest please pay your money either directly to the office or deposted into the surf girl account as soon as possible.
Target 100 campaign!!
As part of my surf girl campaign this year, I am asking all members to dig deep when it comes to their individual fundraising. As such, we are asking all members to find their 100 this season - 100 dollars that is!
As surf girl I am asking all members if they can give a little bit extra by individually raising $100 for the club. The theory is that if an extra $100 was raised by each member of the club, we would be nearly $80,000 better off -imagine that!
So what we are proposing is that each member make a conscious effort to hit their $100 target by selling raffle tickets in our major raffles, art union, selling chocolates or maybe running a fundraising activity at work such as Boardies Day. $100 isn't much - it's only 4 boxes of chocolates.
To really make a difference, this fundraising needs to be outside of our usual raffle rosters and collections dates.
We are aiming to keep a record of all those who hit the 100 target so we can see how easy it is to achieve! So please give me, the office or marketing and sponsorship director Neil Anderson a call to pick up your raffle tidkets or chocoloates today.
Don't forget donations over $2.00 are tax deductable.
So dig deep and find your 100!!
Amy
