Have you recentley turned 18 and forgotten to apply for a Blue Card?
Important: Please read the SLSQ Circular No 144 .09.11 displayed on the notice board, regarding your obligations in relation to your Blue Card. This Circular contains important information for patrol members.
It is each member's responsibilty to maintain a current Blue Card. Renewal notices must be lodged AT LEAST 30 days before expiry in order for you to continue to patrol.
After 31st December 2011, if your renewal is not lodged at least 30 days prior to expiry, you may not be able to undertake patrol duties until such time as you hold a current card.
The Commission for children and young people and dhild guardian will send you a reminder when your card is due to expire IF you have kept your address current with the Commission.
Please note: it takes 6-8 weeks to receive a new or renewed Blue Card.
No one other thatn the member can contact the Commission to enquire about their Blue Card. If you have renewed your card and have not received a new card in the mail after 6-8 weeks you should phone the Commission on 07 3211 6999 or 1800 113 611 to make an enquiry about your application.
